Hi All,
Marcus has kindly explained in another thread, but just out of courtesy to anyone having difficulty trying to contact me recently, I thought I should make a quick post.
Business is running as normal, but there have been serious issues with the new Messiah 2 v1.31 mods and the new V9 PS2s. Basically, some V9 machines are just dying within hours of being modded - there is clearly a problem that I cannot afford to ignore - all existing V9s I have modded for people with a Messiah 2 are fine, and nothing to worry about - but recently I've been spending 3 hours instead of 1 hour per install to get them working properly
So, don't worry if you have an existing V9 modded by me, the Messiah 2 in a V9 works just fine if it's installed properly - I just cannot be bothered with them anymore as they have become so troublesome to install correctly. I am now using the more expensive, but best of the V9 mods - the Matrix MXL2. This is the least problematic of the current V9 mods, and many pro installers are reporting 100 to 200 + V9 installs of this mod with no problems whatsoever.
I will soon be stopping using this mod, and start to use the just released DMS3 V9 chip. I'm waiting for a couple more weeks to get some feedback about this new DMS3, but early signs indicate that it'll be the best - none of the Messiah 2 issues, and only a few pounds more than the Matrix MXL2 mod. Plus, it offers multiregion DVD movie playback and a few other nice extras too
So, nothing to worry about if you have had your V9 modded by me, and nothing to worry about if you're waiting in an order for a premodded V9. By the last week of December I will almost certainly only be offering the DMS3 for V9 machines though, and this will push the price of modding up a bit from ?65 to maybe ?72.50, but it'll be wholly worthwhile in my opinion.
As for late replies to emails people have sent, I am indeed clearing through a backlog - so two things about this:
1 - If you've eamiled me, I'm running about 2 days behind in replying, but I'm getting through them fast, so the backlog will clear by the end of this week.
2 - If you are even remotely serious about working from home, especially via email, on no account use NTL as your broadband provider.
ft: Enough said on that...
Regards,
Will
