Hey all, anyone understand the ins-and-outs of Airprint or network sharing of printers?
I have a very simple requirement but nothing I do is working.
I want to have a printer set up to only print in black and white, so that I can airprint that way from my iPad (as it is not possible to control those settings on an iPad, and my employer doesn't want us wasting toner).
I set up a new duplicate printer, set it to B&W, shared it, job done. When I print through it in Windows, its black and white. When I print through the iPad, it ignores the settings and prints in colour.
(To slightly complicate the issue, we had an unrelated issue with the printer driver - a Ricoh engineer installed the correct drivers in my absence, but also removed my duplicate printer and made two profiles within the same device (one labelled colour, one monochrome. I have shared them both, both print in colour via the iPad)
