Last week I set up a retro exhibition for the BBC at their Radio Lancashire Studios in Blackburn.
It's a small exhibition with more mainstream stuff - NES, SNES, SMS, MD, Atari consoles and some Grandstand handhelds set up and running, along with a Vextrex and Simon. More interesting may be the two glass display cabinets with some rarer Coleco & Nintendo handhelds, Japanese imports, Virtual Boy and other unusual bits and bobs.
There?s also thirty or so reproduction gaming posters adorning the walls ? Ultimate, Software Projects, Melbourne House etc, and some old Atari mobiles hanging from the ceilings. If they can figure how to work it, a DVD will be running a load of old retro games adverts from the eighties ? Morecambe & Wise advertising the Atari VCS - Classic!
It runs until next Monday and it's free, so if anyone wants to pop down for a quick look it's open from 9AM until 5PM.
