Wow, first one of these where I'm not inclined to select any.

Okay, who's our Jaguar apologist who can storm in and insist that Aliens Vs Predator is the greatest thing ever? C'mon. There's always one. I like Babylon 5, I know how you feel. Step forward.

There's none I'd vote for but Ballz is definitely one of those odd games where there was buzz at the time and it's effectively forgotten now

It's going to have to be Battletoads for me, it's the only one I really know from that list

I remember beginning to fall out of love with home console gaming from around 1994 onwards. There was this advent of licensed titles which were sullying the entire landscape, as well as all of these over-hyped technical adventures such as Rise of the Robots. Of course, there were gems, but they were becoming increasingly more difficult to sieve out. I also started losing faith in gaming publications around that time as well, which was definitely a by-product of the hyperbole they were spewing regarding the aforementioned garbage.

This is the time when I wanted to be in Japan more than ever, preferably as a NeoGeo owner. There was a huge and rapidly widening differential with the markets, and it was clear which side I wanted to be on.
