I googled it, apparently it was for health professionals to promote the prevention of HIV (according to wikipedia).

Some strange and fabulous choices from me, PC and DC back then with a transition to XBox and I loved Black & White, thought Clive Barkers : Undying was a really really good narrative driven exploration / shooter, Burnout I loved right away as an arcade racer....

Cosmic Smash on the DC....such a great game and stunning visuals and that box!

Be honest, those of you voting for Burnout - are you actually voting for it because it was one of the best games of the year? Or because it had sequels that were fantastic?

I always thought the original was technically impressive and pretty fun, but felt like it was missing something vital. That "something" appeared in Burnout 2 & 3, which were amazing games, but I was never that fond of the original.

I like the original and had it (still have it I guess) on the Xbox, it feels closer to being the blatant rip-off of Konami's Thrill Drive that it was trying to be and had a slightly less silly tone that was appealing in its own way. I think the series probably peaked with 2 or 3, but there is something quite nice about the original that I find hard to describe. It had good music too from what I remember.

I think it doesn't get much of a look in after the sequels, but it's really sort of its own thing that I feel is still worth looking at.

I nearly voted for it and then remembered it's Burnout 2 that I love.
I didn't really play the first one.

Yep, I didn't vote for Burnout as I enjoyed it but it didn't make a particular mark on me till the second game.

My vote here was easy, given I never found CvS2 to be particularly interesting. Conker sees your voting choice and asks...
