Solo: A Star Wars Story enjoyed its second weekend this week and the results were staggeringly poor. The film suffered a heavy 65% drop off in takings and now sits at a global haul of $264m. Audiences globally have already started to dry up as word of mouth seems to be denting the films takings. Estimates place a $500m price tag on the film being needed to break even so it's half way there but potentially faces more trouble with this weeks releases.
Deadpool 2 held second place again, now riding up to $598m which keeps it on momentum for reaching the ball park of the first films takings.
Avengers: Infinity War reached $1.964bn over the weekend, it's pace is such that within the fortnight it might draw towards the end of its run in the $2bn Club and sitting somewhere alongside Force Awakens
This weekend will see the domestic release for Ocean's 8 and the start of the international big hitter Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
