Yeah, I find it interesting that themes of dystopian terror like 1984's Big Brother and Room 101 are now actively embraced and lauded.

Eternal Sunshine. Loved it but decided I'd not watch it again. Made me sad.

The Truman Show
.
There are scenes in that film that are just haunting. Laura Linney's performance is particually chilling but Carrey shows he's not just a funny face in this film.
