Fargo is one of the half dozen or so laserdiscs i still own. I knew nothing of it when I first saw it ... wasn't particularly into the Coen's ... and it stood out straight away as a film that happens in a place where the majority of films don't. And it felt all the more dangerous. William H Macy's desperate attempts to up-sell that couple buying the car is one of the most uncomfortable scenes ever.

Speaking of uncomfortable scenes, Crash is wall-to-wall uncomfortable ... but so brilliant. Maybe my favourite Cronenberg film. Never saw it at the cinema but did catch it late night on tv some time after and I was absolutely glued. long overdue a blu-ray release so i can retire my dvd.

Got to love Beavis and Butthead. The film was class ... especially the bit where they're trying to work out where the tv went

I struggle with this one as there's a few films I like in the list but none I rate that highly. That being said we're now getting into the 96-98 dark era of cinema so that shouldn't come as a surprise

Good to see some votes for The Frighteners, very much an underated film.
