Which of the above films are the finest offerings of the year in total?

Impressive year. Tough to call between Zodiac, No Country and Blood.

Ooooooh. Some good uns in the final list. Have not seen THERE WILL BE BLOOD yet but it looks right up my alley.

Out of that lot.. .probs a toss-up between THE MIST, HOT FUZZ and DISTURBIA, for me, for pure fun.

I especially found THE MIST very impressive, it was excellent watching it down the flicks and it's actually a really good creepy film. Compare it to the remake of THE FOG. The gulf in quality is off the scale.

Also added a quick, last minute vote for NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. It's one that I didn't like much first time around but began to love it on the second viewing.

Javier Bardem's bad guy is amazing.
