Honestly, I still don’t there’s much difference between the new Labour government and the old Tory one, other than rhetoric and window dressing of broadly similar policies.

I don't know enough of the ins and outs of the cap situation, I suppose some of it will depend on where it stands further down the line when the post-election dust has settled and Labour can't use the excuse of stil sifting through the Tory debris. I'm assuming they will eventually address it as it's not going to go away, but it's not surprising to see them slap anyone stepping out line mere days into being in power.
