Super Slim 12GB PS3 with Move, book of spells and wonderbook thingy - ?119.99!

This is got to be a mistake. At the time of posting gamestation are doing a Super Slim 12GB PS3 with Move, book of spells and wonderbook for ?119.99. It's ?230 on amazon.

Wasn't gonna upgrade to another slim but if they honour it that's a bargain. Especially after selling all of the bits that come with it.

That's odd. Just looking at my E-mail order confirmation it still says ?119.99.

Not expecting them to go through with it but you never know sometimes these slip through the net.

Edit: Yeah showing as ?199.99 on my PC and phone when you add it to basket now. So they must have updated it for all future orders now?

How does it work when you order something online in relation to honouring prices?

I know in a shop they don't have to let an item go for the price sticker, because you might have brought a labelling gun in with you!

        From Which:
"When a retailer displays a product for sale, legally it is giving you 'an invitation to treat', which means it is inviting you to make an offer to buy. The retailer can refuse that offer if it decides that it doesn't want to sell you the goods. To have a legally-binding contract the retailer must have accepted your offer to buy. So your rights depend on where in the sale process you are."

Online, if something is in your basket, is it classed as purchased or because no payment has been taken, it's still "at the till"?

You can order it and they can cancel it saying it was priced wrongly, same as in the shop. I believe it is at the point where money is taken that a contract is formed, same as in a shop

I'm not sure anymore as I keep hearing different when it comes to this subject.

It was only yesterday I was in Asda with the wife and we saw this baby sterilizer on sale to clear. The box had a whoops sticker on it for ?45 and the shelf edge label said ?20 down from ?60. It scanned in at ?60 so I took the shelf edge to customer services and they let us have it for ?20 after discussing it with security to cover their backs.

I think if you pay instantly ie like through PayPal payment is done and should be honoured other than that is mainly down to discretion and/or luck

Paying using PayPal makes no difference - ask people who have orders cancelled by zavvi . PayPal payments to companies are like paying with a card nowadays - payment from your account is not taken until the product is shipped.

Just got this E-mail from Gamestation

You may have noticed that the price for HWPS3 12GB BOOKOFSPELLS CAM on Gamestation.co.uk has gone up to ?199.99, but you don't need to worry! Because of the Gamestation.co.uk Pre-Order Price Promise your Pre-Order will not change and you will still pay the original, lower price.

That's entirely up to the staff or store policy, and is essentially goodwill/customer service. They could have said it was mis-labelled, and asked for ?45 or ?60.

Until money has left your hand or account there's no contract formed.
