Some great offers on just about all Final Fantasy games are available on PSN Store from Wednesday 23/1/13 and will last for a week. Really good prices too

Nice post gambit6613. Might look into getting FFIX for PSP play as remember enjoying that one lots.

Any recommendations for any of the FF games pre-FFVII? Might also pick up Dissidia if it is worthwhile playing.

FFVI is a brilliant Final Fantasy but i have heard a few people say that the Playstation version is not the best version due to the loading times, dont know how bad they are or if they are even that noticeable?

Are the loading times not lessened by it being on a hard drive? That'd be a shame if it's still the case. Technical issues aside though, yes, VI is bloody fantastic.

Gonna pick up VI. I've been hearing about it for so goddamn long and I've never even been near it. Got to be worth a crack for ?4, especially as you get it across 2 platforms .

Side note: Can you sync PS1 savegames between PSV and PS3? Either via USB or PS+ cloud.

Since buying a PS3 Super Slim, I've been constantly amazed by the low prices on the PSN Store & have been double dipping on the PSone games as it's lovely to have Ridge Racer Type 4 or Resident Evil 2 ready to play on your games list. I was going to buy Final Fantasy VII (The only FF game I've had any time for) but ?8 for a game I might not touch was too much.

It has to take a few seconds each time you access the menu, which you do a ton of in FF6. It gets on your tits after a while.

Already have it on PSP but can't deny it for ?4 again on the vita! Same will likely go for dissidia duodecim :/

These are the slowed down PAL conversions aren't they with borders? Until Sony get them running in 60htz or offer the NTSC originals I don't think they are worth it.

VI really isn't that bad on PlayStation, it's just not instant as it would be on a cart.

Yeah and I think you can change the disc loading speed. It certainly made a difference with Chrono Trigger.
