SSB just feels and looks like a button mashing outing from Mario Party to me... Whether it has a skill cap is irrelevant as it just looks that way.

To play devil's advocate though...

Am I the only one who feels that for Virtua Fighter, mastery seems to be going with the grain of the game, but in Smash, it seems to be going against it?

I love Smash. I really enjoy playing it and I'm competent enough at it. But when I jumped from, I guess, "reasonable" to "adept" at Virtua Fighter or Street Fighter IV, it felt like I was progressing in the same direction. Smash feels like I'd need to do a u-turn.
