Critics Club II: 37 - Alec Baldwin

Sorry Team America, but no power can stop Arek Bardwin...

    Alec Baldwin

Vote for the movie you feel is their best whilst also discussing their other work, your reasons for voting and thoughts on what is their weakest.

Some will have very long lists so some trimming will be required to focus on the key entries but broadly the main selection will be available each time.

    It's a difficult choice, honestly.

My heart is for The Hunt for Red October, as I feel it's a tremendous action-thriller.

But gotta go with my head and pick Glengarry Glenn Ross. It's just one of the greatest movies ever, and his performance is unforgettable.

I have never seen Glengarry Glen Ross for the same reason I have never seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Why would they call a film that?! WHY?!

To be honest, I was going to say Team America, but you had that covered in your first sentence!

Not until they rename them. When they're called Death Mafia and Buddy Cops 2 I'll watch them (I have no idea what the films are about).

They're a bit like Fast and Furious, but good (hides).

              Seriously, please watch them.

It's based on a play, I believe... Not that this makes it any less of a strange title.

"Like the play, the film is notorious for its use of profanity, leading the cast to refer to the film jokingly as "Death of a ****in' Salesman." The title of the film comes from the names of two of the real estate developments being peddled by the salesmen characters: Glengarry Highlands and Glen Ross Farms."

I did. Why would I watch that?! They should have called it Cyborg Rangers.

Well I went for it for myself and you too . It's the only film I really remember him in as I have seen it plenty of times and he plays a good part.
