If you approach it as kusoge and don't expect Symphony of the Night, you should enjoy it. The weapon degradation and limited ammo adds a certain amount of tactics to how you approach each fight, but save points where you restock ammo and upgrade are plentiful anyway, so it's not too much of an issue. I'm loving it and it's one of the most fun games I've played this year.

Sorry, but a kusoge, by definition, is a bad game. Even if you go into it knowing it is, it's still bad.

...making the collection pics I took on the weekend before obsolete.

I've completed it and in no way is it crap. I enjoyed it much more than most triple A releases and will definitely be picking up the EU release to support the devs.

I've spoken to other people who have bought it and they really liked it too.

That's the new Exa Arcadia Hardware. Think of it as a modern Neo Geo 4 slot system. It's PC based hardware with 4 cartridge slots at the rear.

I wonder if it will ever get ported

Quite a lot of the current exA games are available on other formats, but I understand part of the agreement is that the arcade version has to have a certain amount of exclusive content / features. I'm not sure what they're changing / adding in comparison to the Famicom version, but a new home version of any kind would be great.
