Just how much 'Metal Gear!?' is there in this then anyway? By that I mean traditional MGS staples; epic codec cons, easter eggs and so on.

Depends on who you ask, regardless of gameplay mechanic discussion for me its a shoddy MG game that makes a mockery of the series. Some love it though, approach it with a pinch of salt.Comment

Story wise it does also, even for MGS standards its really ridiculous with bland characters. And its being dubbed Canon by Hideo. Some might not like the changes made to Raiden whose story saw closure at the end of MGS4.
This was better off when being set between MGS2 and MGS4, with Raiden meeting the doctor and saving Sunny and all. But perhaps not, as the game is a bit ****.Comment

The story, just like all other MG games, is weak. A lot of the characters are ace, however. It's like some of the bosses were taken from a MG game and given a crack/ecstasy/steroids combo.
The game play is sublime.Comment
