I've never tracked my purchases before, but think I will this year. January shouldn't see many purchases as I had a splurge at the end of December including importing a Vita. Come Feb when the UK games come out I may spend a bit though, should be interesting......

I lost track of 2011 but it was quite a bit down on the 2010 madness. Can't see myself getting much time again in 2012 unless my lifestyle changes. Likely I will continue with PC as main system and the consoles for marquee games (or cheap tat).

I stopped keeping track of my expenses after the summer of 2011, not because I was ashamed, but life got pretty hectic and I stopped buying so many games and accessories. Although I got to near ?800 and had brought various consoles and retro games as I was keeping track, the last quarter of the year I just brought the odd Xbox 360 game and nothing else. I imagine the true total for 2011 is around ?900, but it?s not far off!

I knocked ?1K off my 2010 total and part of that is because I have less and less gaming time and the other half is me completing more and buying less tat. For 2012, I want to hold onto only one console, complete my backlog and I might dabble a little more into iPhone & Retro on the PS1 which will stave off any feeling of hunting eBay and buying back my nostalgic gaming past!
