The Rocketeer is mostly notable because it is proof that Jennifer Conelley had an amazing rack back then (which is somthing anyone who saw her for the first time nowadays would find hard to belive)
Its a pretty charming film throughout but never really goes beyond being mildly entertaining. The effects are a bit dated not too. A remake could actually improve the film providing they keep the same tone as I think it's essential to what the Rocketeer is.
Also get Scarlett Johanson for the female lead, she can pull off the look of the era and she's also the only actress who could match up to Conelley in that cleavage bearing dress she wore in the original.Last edited by rmoxon; 23-08-2012, 00:29.

That being said, I'm not a fan of this trend of "25 years later sequels". Have any of them turned out particularly good? I wasn't even that big a fan of Blade Runner even though I thought it was visually gorgeous.
