Yakumo, your pics often make me wish I also lived in the future. That roof under the Coke sign is awesome and the colours came out great in the photo.

You should see that coke sign in motion. All the lights strobe and there's a graphic equalizer style background that wasn't lit when I took the photo.

Mmmm nice, looking to go FF myself this year, could be wrong but I think that as FF becomes more affordable we'll start to see them take over from APS-C machines.

We probably won't have a choice eventually.

Most Japanese cities are very colourful downtown. The sure do like those colour on n Japan when it comes to buildings.

My pal is going to Norway in a month and is looking for the best way to capture the northern lights without spending silly amounts. Difficult one i know, any decently priced dslrs that will do the job?, he wont be looking to blow the pics up to a3 for printing or anything.

Any DSLR can do the job, it's all about the lens - and of course technique but don't let the latter worry you.

Nikon 3100/Canon 1100 are under ?250 without lens.

Might be able to pick one up cheaper than that from Jessops if the rumours of them going in to administration later today are true.
