    Sony closes SCEJ

    Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, Sony Computer Entertainment Asia, and Sony Computer Entertainment Pan-Asia are being dissolved as of today.

    Being formed in their place is Sony Computer Entertainment Japan/Asia, led by President Hiroshi Kawano.

                  Asia is a potentially massive market for companies such as Sony and although they've done OK in Asia there is so much untapped potential for companies such as these that I imagine it makes sense for Sony to centralise their three regional headquarters in this way.

                  Although they have tended to release older hardware in the expanding markets this could possibly signal a move to get more current hardware in to those regions and to get them there quicker than they have in the past.
