Broken items...anyone know how to fix?

I've been getting all my retro stuff down from the loft to have a little play and just to see what I have...

    3 things aren't working:

    1. GameGear - no sound, faded picture.
    2. Amiga 500 - no power to it at all.
    3. GP32BLU - turns on, but nothing on screen.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

        2. Amiga 500 - no power to it at all.

Almost certainly this will be the rectifier diodes in the PSU.

Wow. That takes me back to 1989

          Seriously though:

          1. GameGear - no sound, faded picture.

Ghost lines (LCD Refresh rate, limitations of the original LCD). It will fix dim screen, and viewing angle, no sound and adapter problems. Does it have a dim screen and you have to tilt it at 45 degrees to see the picture?.

          2. Amiga 500 - no power to it at all.

          3. GP32BLU - turns on, but nothing on screen.

          no idea

Would be tempted to poke around the GP32BLU. GameGear will just be a cap problem.

              Thanks!

Amiga just magically came on after messing around with the power supply. I think the molded cable going into it is loose.

Works now! Some games don't wanna load though.

I see the GameGear is a common problem, I will have a go at fixing that.

But the GP32BLU - it's like a new device, will have to investigate that further.
