So here we go. This week all contestants will be battling it out for fun, trying to get their fastest times on the first two tracks in our BDTTGP!

Post your times for week 1 in this thread. Feel free to post multiple times during the week to let everyone know and discuss how you're are getting on, but be sure to highlight to me which is your final time so I don't miss it.

- All final times must be posted with photo proof. Using your phone or upload screenshot using the Wii U.

- Week 1 ends midnight Sunday 22nd June.

The times will be listed in leaderboard form above. There will also be a separate points table that will be updated at the end of each week. As suggested by DavidH, the points award system will follow MotoGP's (see below).

Here's my first efforts

Couple of nice times there Lurch, I've never really got on with the bikes in this so be interesting to see if they are faster.
Really seems with MK8 it's easier to use a heavy character like Bowser etc and keep the momentum up, without the lack of acceleration being a massive minus like it was back in Super Mario Kart.
Will have a proper attempt at the two tracks tonight.
