My advice is don't worry about the strap, just focus on the main body.
I ended up spending a silly amount more to get one with the leather strap I liked, but as it turned out you could go on Amazon and spend a few quid on an endless variety of straps.
That probably cost me about £400 extra. Partly because I thought that having the stainless steel version with the sapphire glass screen would make it more durable. But like any piece of tech, it won't last long enough or will be superseded so quickly it doesn't need to be that durable.

I still have my Fitbit charge hr, which is fine - but the 3-4 day battery life is a real pain. I really wish they could make an updated model that was the same but lasted multiple weeks.

I had a black third party strap but it kept working its way loose. Was only £7!
