I've been tracking down original copies of my favourite Stereolab albums. This arrived yesterday:

It is isn't it. The Erased Tapes label is fairly eclectic and it shows. Although this is the nicest one I've bought yet. The music is a treat aswell thankfully.

So who's gonna buy the RSD lp of unreleased 70s porn music featuring Ron Jeremy? I'm tempted as funk n soul is my thing. As is naked ladies having sex oddly enough.

Visited the local record store yesterday. Picked up a few 7" singles and 12" singles.

I picked up Go West's album a while ago. They were okay to be honest.

I've also just bought a couple of Eurythmics lps. Great band.

I saw a first press of Licensed to Ill the other day. VG+. £50! 90s hiphop is starting to go for silly money.

Yeah. The Aretha one is a second press i think. I paid a bit for it. Sublime album. Not many (especially now) with talent like that.

Actually there are many like that thinking about it. What i meant was the impact. We don't see that so much now. The world has changed and new things are hard to come by with everything available everywhere all the time. Many artists are missed i guess, drowned in a sea of social media or lost because of a reluctance to become part of it.

I rejected social media myself last year. Deleted my Twitter, Facebook and instagram accounts. Although not being "connected" to the world the benefits have outweighed the negatives. Thankfully 6music keeps me informed of new artists as do emails from my favourite record shops. I tend to miss local music nights now though as they rely solely on social media. It's still worth it though. More time to spend on truly important things... like listening to music.

Latest purchase, IT finally makes it onto vinyl. Pennywise looking as horrific as ever.
