    Krypton

First rumored back in October, now it’s official – Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics are teaming up for the Superman prequel series “Krypton” which “Man of Steel” scribe David S. Goyer has created. The story takes place on the alien planet years before the Superman legend, when the House of El was shamed and […]

Warners has officially locked in another new TV series, this time with the channel Syfy. The new show is set on Krypton and is a prequel series to the Superman mythology. Though disconnected from any incarnation of the character, the show follows Kal-El's Grandfather as he struggles to bring equality and hope to Krypton.

    Can't say this sounds good.

It's like some other boards have said, it sounds like a DC version of Caprica. Taking a popular series and making a spin off based on the least interesting aspect of it. Warners is definitely getting to the point where its starting to feel they're starting new tv series for the sake of it.

The danger here is a complete oversaturation of comic based movies and TV shows and the inevitable backlash. Sooner or later, there will be more bad than good. Even if the quality stays high, burnout is natural.

This one in particular sounds pointless.

Exactly. Pointless. If his goal is to bring peace to krypton he did the ****tiest job of all time.

Syfy has fallen out of love with its DC shows, the network has just abruptly cancelled the “Superman” prequel series “Krypton” after two seasons. In addition, the previously announced Lobo series has also been scrapped. Warner Horizon Scripted Television, which produces “Krypton,” is in talks with ‘other outlets’ for the series to potentially live on […]

SyFy does what it loves doing and has cancelled the in development spin-off Lobo. Additionally, they've cancelled Krypton as well after two seasons.

If Gordon Burns doesn’t have a cameo in it, then I’m not watching it.
