MY ELEVATOR PITCH:
Snake Jr. (Wyatt Russell), is angry at the world for being dishonourably discharged from the Cyber Seals and abandoned by his father.
After escaping from a military prison, it's revealed that he was being tested to see if he's got the skills to undertake a suicide mission that will see his name restored and criminal record expunged.
No longer protected by the Government, the prison island of New York has deteriorated further and is even more dangerous. He has to go in to get the Nuclear Football from the President before it's stolen by the Italians (makes a change from the usual baddies).
SOME INFILTRATION SCENES AND ACTION OCCURS
Snake Jr. finds the imprisoned President, only to find he sharing a cell with... SNAKE PLISSKEN SR.!
He hadn't absconded, he was double-crossed by the Government and captured, now the Snakes must team up to escape from New York and punish the man who lied to them both...

New "Escape From NY" Is Not A Remake - Dark Horizons
The makers of the film have confirmed that the new film will follow their approach to Scream and not be a reboot. It will instead be a third entry in the existing franchise aiming to mix new characters with old ones (surely Russell!). They say the original is too untouchable to them to make a reboot but at the moment it will only enter script writing stages next year.Comment
