FMV is the future of gaming.

I do like the Mad Dog games though. I remember being interested in The 7th Guest, but I've only watched it on YouTube. Looked pretty good.

Got my PAL PSU for my new Japanese PSOne. Cheaper to get a bundle of crap than to buy the PSU separately. The lid on the console doesn't stay shut and the pad is grotty. But the PSU works thankfully.

Dual Shock are pretty easily rejuvenated with some cold soapy water in the sink. Have a console to cannibalise for the BAM laser in it too should the one in your Japanese unit go south

The lid not staying shut is an easy fix generally, it's just the lid eject button sticking down. Taking it apart and cleaning it/refitting usually sorts it out, ten minute job. I also concur with what speedlolita says, if it reads discs fine then keep it as spares for the laser assembly!

Yeah, I was going to give it to the charity shop but after opening up my Japanese one to fix the cog, replacing the laser is so easy I'm going to keep hold of it.

dvdx2 kindly sold me his Namco museum boxed set it now comes to live in my collection think i now have all the Namco museum stuff. At some point i'll pick up one of those neGcon controllers as that's part of the set in a roundabout way as it is compatible with some of the titles in the collection. Looking forward to going through these today, it's in really nice shape too considering the age.

              Set complete

Stupid question but would it be possible to use a laser from a Japanese PS2 with an American one? My US PS2 slim is starting to play up a bit so will probably need to replace its laser in the near future but the cost of importing another american system would be 3x the amount it would cost just to get a japanese one. Plus I want to change the shell to a white one instead of the black one I currently have.

As for new pickups, my white retrobit saturn pads arrived yesterday and I must say Im really impressed, looks and feels exactly like the original official ones. Hope they do one for the 3D pad as well (or release an adaptor that makes the original one wireless). Now I have those, the MODE and a CRT Im pretty much all set with regards to the Saturn, only thing left to find is a virtua stick.

Yes, but you'd need to ensure you get the same model series as yours. Check the bottom of the console for the SCPH number (7000x, 7500x, 7700x, 7900x, 9000x).

3 out of the 5 i had coming have turned up thankfully undamaged. Bugger knows where arkanoid has got to as it's been nearly a week and it was only in london. Cellophanes is somewhere between japan and the uk still not made it here, however these did

Bit of case polishing with novus and a nice new protector and they are ready to slot into my library i'm running out of space though i have capacity for about 30 more PS1 games and my pachinko top will be full and i'll have to activate master tetris shuffling skills again lololol

Any chance of an updated room tour? You must have so much crammed in to that room now.

At some point i'll do an update but to be honest it looks pretty much like it did in my setups thread pic from a while back the only thing that has been changing is my pile of switch/ps4 & ps1 games have grown. To properly show people everything on something like youtube would take many hours have nearly 400 DS games alone with other collections like gamecube/ps1/360 at the borderline 100 mark with others like GBA/3DS been a lot smaller, wish i could give my collection the space it deserves instead it's double stacked or put in specific places. My GC stuff is in a storage crate all on it's own, my N64 stuff ended up carefully wrapped in bin bags to protect against dust and placed in the cupboard above the pantry in the kitchen. My games have to somehow share space with my other hobby things, boxes of crafting tools and materials, lol it's madness maybe having loads of hobbies is not a good thing for space.

The only one rapidly changing is my Japanese PS1 stuff, as you can see less than half a stack left before i'm forced to decide how to rearrange.

It's similar to Thunder Force V and Einhander. A reasonably nice shoot 'em up.
