Yawn. My interest in Bond is usually pretty low, but I've got to say I don't give a **** about this film. I don't know many people who do.
The Internet isn't exactly pumped for it. Matrix is getting loads of interest, but bond... None.

We'll have to see. It might do a Skyfall; like prior to release that had very little fanfare, then the Adele track came out which sold like crazy and then the movie had an explosive launch. I remember Blobcat and I went to see it a week afterwards and on a Wednesday night, three consecutive showings were sold out. We had to book a late showing and go to the pub to pass an hour. Couldn't believe it; not even the Marvel movies sell out multiple showings a week later.

Another oddity for me. Skyfall isn't even a decent Bond film.

I understand why they had to delay it but the film's had so many trailers there's not much mystery around it any more (normally its part of the appeal of a Bond film besides the set pieces and style). I expected it to be around the two hour mark so it being half an hour longer this time means its going to feel very long (I know it's the one where Craig bows out but even so there's going to be some clock/watch checking during the film I reckon).

It could be really great but I get the feeling this'll sit between Casino Royale and Skyfall in the the (the odd ones with Daniel Craig have turned out well and the even ones not so much). Hopefully this last one keeps up the pattern and he bows out of the series on a high.

I have tickets booked and I'm getting excited about it!

I've seen every Bond, good and bad and look forward to seeing what they do with Craig's finale.
I'm actually pleased about the running time - gives the film chance to breathe.

Going with mates and getting pizza and beers in first, so it should be a good night.

I've also purposely avoided every trailer, so that there'll be some surprises.
My mates laugh at me when I'm in the cinema with my fingers in my ears going "lalalalala"!

I don't know why but I'll watch any movie with Ana De Armas in it so this is definitely on my list...

She is blessed with looking youthful even though she's not so young per say. Being a modern Bond girl is a good credit to have on your resume given how they're much more than love interests in recent years.

I'll go see this one as I want to feel like it'll be a decent entry and has a satisfying ending not only for the film itself but for Craig's era as the famous agent (he's about 50 now which is a good time to bow out from the role).

How long do people reckon it'll be before they formally announce who the next actor will be for Bond?

The next bond will 100% be a woman.

                    Booked my ticket.

Going with a couple of friends for a "Dad's Night Out".

My local cinema will be showing this from October 1st with Dune coming on the 15th.so I'd better see it ASAP as they only have one ultra massive screen with Dolby Atmos. Bond will be moved to the big standard cinema room once Dune hits.
I'll support our cinema as much as possible. 5 years ago we only had some ****ty small place that showed 90% Japanese movies only. That sucked big time.

I expect the next Bond actor will be announced mid next year and filming on Bond 26 will start soon after, the Craig era has been dogged by drawn out productions so I imagine they'll be hoping a fresh start with a tightly contract bound new actor will allow them to get the conveyor belt moving again on these.

I'm betting someone who's late 30's and not a talked about name gets it next time, very easy to tie someone to the role without the distraction of rival projects the fame attracts. White and male too, the Broccoli's will never deviate.

You might be right but it would be very forward thinking of them to cast an actor who's non-white but still British through and through (we know Idris has denied he's going to be the next Bond but let him do a couple before he gets to 50 or play Felix Leighter if they recast him as well after this one).

Edit: I just checked and he's nearly 50 so never mind.

There's been reports that Barbara Broccoli has been keen on the idea but it's hard to tell how true that is. Part of the issue I suspect is that the franchise is currently at its biggest so any change will be considered high risk and Bond has a fanbase that once went absolutely mental that Daniel Craig's hair wasn't dark enough so it makes it hard to buy that they'd be inclined to chance it. It'd be interesting though as even though Bond doesn't have much back story you couldn't do the same character as is just in casting a black actor as it's a character who's origins are steeped in a white privilaged background and upbringing so you'd have to address that whilst not straying into making it a different character.

I would absolutely love it if they cast a woman as 007.

Imagine if the marketing is totally behind it and only talks about her, then the twist comes that she gets killed and the only person she trusted before was a soldier she was friends with who is still in agent training. He breaks protocol to investigate what happens and finds she was onto something _massive_.

MI6 has no choice but to sanction the agent and is drafted in and takes over her number within Special Branch as she was compromised and nobody knows who this young agent is...

His name is Bond, James Bond.

The reboot is then set and we have a young James Bond to take over the 007 mantle, so there's some continuity for the next 5 films!
He's young, so doesn't have that grizzled grumpiness that appeared in Craig's Bond by his 2nd film.
He's pissed off that his friend was taken from him, but not eternally maudlin.
People will always see a Bond film, so they could plan the story arc, rather than retroactively deciding that Spectre is run by James' jealous half-brother.

They've got a chance to reboot with some surprises and a story arc that builds (everyone loves a movie universe!) to a big finale.

I enjoy with the Daniel Craig ones that in Quantum he's effectively only just on his second mission and the films already start referring to him as an old timer.

I want the Bond franchise to rediscover a sense of fun and of Bond being the coolest guy in the room. There being a sense of him being a professional weapon in of himself too. Hate to say it but DC just isn't a cool guy, he plays a miserable potato faced lump of a 007 who then doubles it down by being a miserable potato faced lump of an actor about the role in real life.

With this era wrapping up I'd rank Craig as 5th of the 6.
