For me Connery and Brosnan top the list. The films with Brosnan might vary in quality but he himself as an actor is about as spot on as they ever got it and it's a shame they never allowed him to make a more grounded entry. Craig is worse than most of the list, Royale is about as good as it ever got and even then it's more on the craft of the film rather than not being able to imagine better casting being possible. Time for the whole Craig era to be closed off and rebooted, tone and all. **** EON if they go anywhere near Nolan for an entry.

Surprised they bothered with the trailer given how likely this was - delayed till 02 April 2021

No guarantee but a Dutch cinema owner is said to have called out that No Time to Die is to be delayed till November 2021 which seems highly likely

            No Time to Release

MGM has delayed Daniel Craig’s final 007 outing, “No Time to Die,” once again. Originally set for April 2020, then pushed to November 2020, then April 2021, it has now been pushed back again to an October 8th 2021 release. That puts it out just one week after “Dune” hits cinemas and HBO Max. It […]

Another delay for No Time to Die, it's new date set as 08 October 2021

On Monday came the news Amazon is looking to potentially purchase MGM for around $9 billion. Variety reports that while it has been dead silent since then, both sides reportedly remain actively in talks and want to get the deal done soon. What does that mean for MGM’s upcoming slate, and more specifically for the […]

Amazon appears to be approaching the late stages of talks to buy MGM for $9bn, despite the buyout word is that the change in owners won't impact the Bond franchises release of No Time to Die but no-one knows the effects beyond that.

Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as James Bond in “No Time to Die” will reportedly have to earn in the ballpark of $900 million at the box-office to turn a profit. That’s the story according to British tabloid The Express who picked it up from famed Bond news website MI6 HQ. Originally set for […]

Highlighting again how stupid Hollywood is and how badly EON needs the franchise to be reset again, reports have it that No Time to Die needs to reach $900m at the box office to turn a profit. If true it effectively already cements the film as a money bleeder given the pandemic state of the market but also how insanely out of control budgeting has become even if COVID had never happened. Only one Bond film has ever come in above that total - Skyfall with $1.1bn, Spectre made $808m.

The upcoming film might make decent box office as I understand this won't appear on streaming the same day it releases. Its the first big film of Autumn (or maybe the second if you count Shang-Chi) and audiences like another Bond tale every few years. Glad its not too far away as I think the trailers have shown more than enough of what we should expect.

Like Shang-Chi it'll be an interesting test as well. If they underperform we're likely looking at every remaining 2021 major release getting pushed back again to next year

In March last year, Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond with “No Time To Die” became the first major studio tentpole film to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic – just weeks out from its planned April 2020 release. The film was pushed an unprecedented seven months at the time, shocking everyone. It […]

No Time to Make Money it seems as word is that the film can't be delayed to a later date as MGM has simply run out of money to fund the marketing machine any longer. The costs of making and delaying the film have mounted up so much that it has to be released and therefore might be a massive loss maker for the studio.

Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as James Bond is all set to be the longest Bond movie ever made. Indiewire reports that the film clocks in at a whopping 163 minutes, the runtime announced ahead of advance tickets sales which will open to the public on September 16th. That runtime beats the franchise’s previous […]

Take a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart because No Time to Die is the franchises longest entry weighing in at 2 hours and 43 minutes long.

Not sure if it was already mentioned here (so apologies if it was) but I've seen stuff in a few places online which suggests...

... this keeps getting put back because a viral bio-weapon factors into the plot.

This supposedly relates to how the movie was put back before movies in general started doing this en masse. Like it doesn't contravene the official reason (same as for tons of other movies like Top Gun Maverick).

Now that amazon own it I doubt the "loss" is going to be looked at in the same way. It should grab a fair chunk of new Prime subscribers when the time comes.

2 hours 43 mins is just stupid though. Films are just too long in general these days.

They probably need that time to flesh out how Bond is betrayed by his lover who turns out shared the same mother as Bond. Because this incarnations storyline has already descended into telenovella nonsense as it is. Honestly bewilders me that this incarnation of the character is the one to drive it to $1bn.
