With all the chatter from cast members of Justice League adding their voice to the requests for their to be a Snyder Cut of the film one of the questions was where was Ezra Miller and Henry Cavill during it all? Miller avoids social media so could easily be explained away but Cavill has faced questions not just about the original intended version of the film but also if he truly is done playing the man of steel.

British actor Henry Cavill wants to make it clear – he’s not done yet playing Superman. The “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” and “The Man from UNCLE” star has just done an extensive interview with Men’s Health ahead of the release of “The Witcher” TV series next month on Netflix in which he stars. Cavill has […]

Amidst the chatter he has done an interview to promote the upcoming Witcher series and has finally prised some words about the role, his answer being that he isn't planning to remain benched and plans to continue in the role for a long while yet if he gets the chance wanting to explore the character and continue to bring it closer to its comic book roots. He was also asked about his thoughts on the three films he's done so far and his opinion is:

    Man of Steel
    - Wouldn't change anything
Batman v Superman - Much more a Batman movie than something too relevant to Superman
    Justice League - Didn't work

Action star Dwayne Johnson has confirmed to Comicbook.com that the classic DC superhero team the Justice Society of America will make its big-screen debut in the Johnson-led upcoming film “Black Hero” for Warner Bros. Pictures. Out doing press for “Jumanji: The Next Level,” Johnson joked with frequent collaborator Kevin Hart when the latter asked if […]

Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that the Justice Society of America will make its DCU debut in Black Adam. Presumably this will make the film a prequel tale to Shazam

A new feature piece in Variety has gone into the future of Warners’ films based on DC Comics heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and more. Bouncing back from the disastrous “Justice League,” the studio has made over $1 billion each on “Aquaman” and “Joker,” while “Shazam” also did very solid business and all […]

I saw this yesterday and was a little reticent to post it but as it's doing the rounds on the larger news sites...

DC are said to be ramping up their film slate in light of the box office and critical success of Aquaman, Joker and Shazam. Reshoots are wrapping on Birds of Prey and testing is said to be now quite positive on the film.

Now, before the rest of the article - The reason I'd been wary of posting this is because I feel it's not really a genuine piece of news, it very much comes across as a combination of speculative rumours that the writer has combined to create the article rather than there being any real grounded basis for them. They are:

        The Batman:
That the films rumoured Arkham Asylum plot is unfounded and it will only briefly touch on the location. This in of itself is simply a regurgitation of old news. When the project resided with Ben Affleck it was supposed to orientate around Arkham as a method of featuring multiple villains, that ended with Reeves took control and Affleck formally bowed out which was quite some time ago now.

        Superman:
That a new film is still quite far off. There's speculation that JJ Abrams has held talks which is more current though most recent discussion on the matter has been off the back of comments made by Abrams that he is interested in the character and having just signed a huge deal with Warners rather than any evidence of direct involvement. Likewise with the story involving Michael B Jordan, though the non-DCU movies that Joker has started has led Warners to look at a variety of alternate pitches, this is fairly old and has little evidence that anything is actually planned or going to come of it.

        Green Lantern Corps:
That the film remains a priority and may also go to Abrams company. Perfectly possible but the ink is still drying on that deal and there's been little sign that the film is on the immediate horizon with DC's slate for the next 2-3 years already firming up.

        The Flash:
One of the projects officially on the line up and moving faster. They project Miller filming this in 2021 due to filming Fantastic Beasts next year but that film starts rolling in January and is unlikely to take much more than a few months for Miller. With his slate a second half 2020 filming date is perfectly possible if Warners can lock the script down.

The rest relates to already known information on Aquaman II and The Trench. It's odd that the update completely ignores updates on several known films like Cyborg or the primed up Black Adam and Shazam 2 which added to the sense I got that this was fairly non-news.

Not interested in the film at all but those are really nice posters. Great to see them doing something different.

Why doesn't Harley Quinn look like Margot Robbie on the posters?

I think I'm more distracted by how... Suicide Squad-ish this continues to look. It's got the same kind of lower scale, pop, unfaithful adaptation feel which continues to feel odd considering this is a DCU project rather than something stand alone and also Suicide Squad itself is getting reworked.

Looks pretty good, if not yet an absolute must-see for me.

Hawkgirl showing up at the end of the trailer would carry more weight if the DCU wasn't such a mess.

Along with debuting the “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer, Warner Bros. Pictures used their CCXP panel on Sunday to make a couple of announcements. First up, the official title of the third main film in “The Conjuring” franchise won’t be “The Conjuring 3” but rather “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”. That film will […]

Warner Bros have officially announced that Shazam! 2 is greenlit. Zachary Levi will return as the hero and he has previously suggested filming could begin sometime next year.

Yesterday’s trailer launch for “Wonder Woman 1984” seemed to be a big success for Warners with an overall excellent response to the clip. Now, it appears DC Entertainment are looking into ways to expand Diana’s world with talk of a spin-off focusing on her Amazonian home of Themyscira. Brazilian journalist Miguel Morales first revealed the […]

Jenkins is also planning to continue her links to Wonder Woman by helping to plan a spin-off film focused on the Amazons of Themyscira

In the wake of the “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer launch over the weekend at Brazil’s CCXP convention, more quotes from director Patty Jenkins have come online regarding both the film and the overall franchise at Warner Bros. Pictures. First up, Jenkins confirms to Collider that the first cut of the film came in at 165 […]

Jenkins confirms that the plot for Wonder Woman 3 has been mapped out and also confirms that Wonder Woman 1984 heavily increases the reliance on practical effects.
