    Give it to meeeeeee.

And yeah, I can't really see how the financials are going to work on this one either. But I'm excited for it.

Sony phones have 4K screens. It's not a distant stretch to think they can source a more specialised 4K screen for a headset.

It's more to do with rendering the games, rather than the screen.

Yeah I guess. There are lots of cheats like checkerboarding and only rendering what you are looking at. It guess it doesn't have to be 4k games. A 4k screen downscaling to 2k will still look pretty nice. More pixels.

Yeah, foveated rendering is going to fix some of these concerns. It's hard to tell how it'll work.

I just wish they were pushing for wireless.

I guess with vibration and cameras and a 4k screen the juice it'll need will be pretty high. A battery pack might weigh a tonne.

Seems so weird to push things tech wise so hard and then cheap out on wireless which is probably the most important item on the list for many

The gears take a long time to turn; I suspect Sony passed the "point of no return" on that part of the design prior to the Quest hitting its first peak at Christmas 2019. I'll admit, when I got to try a Quest 1 for the first time, I'd tried all sorts of VR, but I was a real skeptic as to whether that wireless tech would work. It was such a surprise.

I mean, even now, when I think about it... I was able to stream my PC Steam VR stuff wirelessly to my Quest, WHILE it was streaming to my Chromecast so others in the room could see what was going on. It was like dark magic.

7 PSVR releases are being showcased though Sony did briefly leak its own sizzle reel

Just put my PSVR back on, whilst the kids are at school. Haven't played in a year. Thought I'd finish Farpoint. After 20mins, the sweats and queasiness have kicked in big time. Bleurggh.

Yeah, you are always gonna need to bed them VR sea legs in. Will never forget how I went into Ultrawings doing loops and found myself on the couch in a sweat fit minutes later

Oh, I think I need Puzzle Bobble VR!

Oh man, Ultrawings is a killer!

Flying the microlite, whilst banking and looking around for the next marker, but you're actually sat still was probably the only time I've felt nauseous in VR.

Pirate Flight VR is currently free on the PlayStation Marketplace:
Made for everyone, its the most casual VR flying game. Just fly, race, and shoot across three beautiful worlds and triumph through 90 missions No landings, no complex controls. It’s not a flight simulator but pure and simple arcade flying — plus there are dragons So dont be afraid of heights or motion sickness, Pirate Flight VR runs in 90 FPS and offers a default comfort mode, which makes for happy flying in VR

It sounds a little simplistic, but could be a good one to add the library when showing people VR.
The kind of people who haven't played a videogame since Wii Bowling.
That's not a criticism of the game, or those people - it's great there's another way to show people the joy of videogames!

Another one to add to my giant library of PSVR games I've gotten free (from Plus mostly).

I will be sad if the VR2 doesn't have BC.

The cynical side of me would suggest they will make it BC because in a whole year+ of PS5, you can still count the exclusives one hand, i.e. games that aren't remasters or available on other systems or previous consoles.

The chances of them releasing PSVR and only 2 games that work on it are pretty slim.

Such a weird generation of consoles where the biggest selling point is that you can still play your old games, not the new content being made.

The only thing I can compare it to is when some people spend a lot on building a machine, with fancy display tech to emulate much older systems and games. Some of those games are impossible to get, I suppose.

Every decade I say I'm done with gaming, but then a sequel to say Ridge Racer or something will drag me back.
