I feel like the seperate launches and charging for GTAO and RDO suggest that backwards compatibility has killed chances of remasters of either. Rockstar aren't big on effort unless it's for grand forward planning, the planning for the PC GTA5 paved the way for the PS4/XBO versions. I feel we'll get a couple more years of milking the online titles but with the well finally starting to dry GTA6 should arrive mid-gen... with a new GTAOnline to last till 2030

Step into the burgeoning criminal underworld of Red Dead Online: Blood Money on July 13th, and prove you are willing to get your hands dirty in service to some particularly notorious and well connected members of Saint Denis society.

DLSS arrives to the game for PC on 13 July

All it needs is a 60fps patch, done.

As we look at what’s in store for the Rockstar Games community in the weeks and months ahead, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their unmatched enthusiasm and commitment to all our titles. It’s your support that drives us to keep...

Rockstar begins to shift resources away from Red Dead Online and towards GTA6

According to a new report, Rockstar Games has also dropped plans for Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports.

All the Remaster/Next-Gen cancellations feel like an over reaction compared to still doing them but... well.

But on the other hand, the less Rockstar leans on its old games in lieu of releasing anything new the better

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets big Red Dead Online update and new missions

"Red Dead Redemption 2 was meant to be completely dead, as Rockstar Games shifts focus away from its western sandbox game to focus on the release date for GTA 6. A big Red Dead Online update for September, however, has appeared on Steam, adding a set of new solo missions to the neglected online open world.

Previously, Red Dead Online updates have appeared on the first Tuesday of each month, but have normally been preceded by a tease from Rockstar about what to expect. This time, the new Red Dead Redemption 2 update seems to have caught players unawares, who have suddenly noticed an update to the open-world shooter that alters more than 5GB worth of game files.

Though the update address a variety of small issues in Red Dead Online, such as getting stuck in game lobbies and malicious players being able to kick other people out, it does not seem to intended to fix some of the bugs, glitches, and exploits that have been encountered in recent weeks, particularly one that causes NPCs and animals to despawn.

But there are some new missions. It’s not quite the substantial DLC content that we would hope for, with Blood Money from July 2021 still representing Red Dead Online’s last major overhaul, but especially for players who like experiencing RDO solo, this update will be good news. Three new telegram missions are now available from the post office. These missions are named In Bad Faith, Strong Medicine, and Sow and Reap, and you can try them out for yourself as soon as the Red Dead Online update has downloaded. Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to have some online life left in it after all.

And if you want to take your gunslinging and lasso throwing even further, you can check out some of the best western games, or maybe some of the best sandbox games on PC. We also have guides to the best multiplayer games, if the new Red Dead Online solo missions aren’t your thing."
