Craig Mazin, the creator of the acclaimed limited series 'Chernobyl,' is reteaming with HBO to adapt 'The Last of Us,' the massive Sony PlayStation video game franchise.
The Last of Us is to become a TV series. The good is that one of the heads of Chernobyl is involved, the bad is that the world really doesn't need another Walking Dead series.

The other week Disney CEO Bob Iger stepped down from his position, appointing Bob Chapek to succeed him, though Iger will remain on at Disney until late next year during the transition to help Chapek. One of his other duties however will be righting the creative ship at Disney+ according to a new feature piece […]
Bob Iger is now in his final months as head of Disney and will apparently spend that time focusing on one last issue at the company, sorting out Disney+'s issues with original content. Though a huge success the service has struggled to deliver original content beyond the one season of The Mandalorian with it's next high profile shows being largely one offs that are most of the year away. It emerges that as well as cancelling planned series Muppet's Live Another Day and Book of Enchantment, the Execs at the service have also axed a planned series based on Tron. Part of the issue seems to be projects stalling as the Execs focus heavily on focusing the service on keeping a heavily family focused angle which is how some projects are hitting issues as seniors worry they slide too close to the PG-13 end of the scale. This is also why the Lizzie Maguire revival they originally pushed has stalled as Execs want something like the original show despite it being about Lizzie as a married, working 30+ year olds life now. This is also why some projects have started to move over to Hulu and how the vacuum in new content is emerging for Disney+. Iger will now work to sort out the issue which seems to be mostly reliant on getting stalled projects moving again and coming down on a decision on what can and can't fit on the service.
Netflix, meanwhile, have released a trailer for Altered Carbon: Resleeved which launches on 19 March 2020

Disney executive chairman Bob Iger has confirmed that even an ‘outdated cultural depictions’ disclaimer which they’ve used on some other films is not enough to get the studio’s 1946 feature “Song of the South” on the Disney+ streaming service. Speaking at the studio’s annual shareholders meeting, Iger was asked whether the full Disney library will […]

With plenty of people taking the next 2-3 weeks off to ‘self-isolate’ due to the coronavirus, Disney Pictures is smartly exploiting the captive audience by doing something generous – going early with home video releases. Disney has announced they will make “Frozen 2” available in the US and internationally on its Disney+ subscription streaming service […]
With various movies being delayed at the cinema and more and more people looking to self-isolate it means Disney is moving quickly to adjust plans and make the most of the changing situation. As a result they have confirmed that Frozen II and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker will be launching earlier than planned on Disney+ to milk those stuck at home.
Still more shows and film productions are being suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic today with almost all scripted efforts currently in production for FX, The CW and streaming giant Netflix being closed off for the next two weeks at least. Netflix is shutting down all of its scripted productions in North America, more than […]
Netflix have shutdown all North American shows due to the virus, a move that impacts shows such as Stranger Things: Season 04. FX has done the same for it's shows putting a halt to series such as Fargo: Season 04 in addition to CW who have had to shut down Supergirl: Season 05 and Batwoman: Season 01
https://www.darkhorizons.com/superna...ilming-issues/
Supernatural: Season 15 has also ceased filming with several weeks left to shoot. If production doesn't resume quickly then it could cause delays on the latter end of the final season as well as impact the Walker: Texas Ranger show that was to take its spot.

Universal Studios is also putting new releases that would have only been in theatres online: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/16/univ...orld-tour.html
This is another thing that I hope sticks around once the mist clears - I'm not a fan of going to the cinema at all, mostly due to how annoying other people can be (I'm looking at you seat kickers), much rather watch new releases at home on my own theatre system.

Trolls is probably the big one there though it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out it wasn't tracking that great either. I can easily imagine Antebellum having the same happen to it. After that it's May when the next notable releases happen which would be Black Widow, Scoob, SpongeBob SquarePants 3, Saw IX and Artemis Fowl come out all of which I'd expect delays rather than online releases.
