CW are working on another addition to the show line up, this one being Superman & Lois
Following both trying to be parents and juggle their lives it sounds halfway like a Lois & Clarke sequel series, both are passable in the eps they're in but not sure there's a need for this one, especially with Supergirl running and never quite proving great itself.

The upcoming superhero series “Stargirl,” which is to premiere on the DC Universe subscription platform next year, is set to air on The CW as well reports Deadline. Set to launch in the second quarter of 2020, each episode of Stargirl will be broadcast on The CW the day after it premieres on the streaming […]

DCU Service's new Stargirl series will also air on the CW. Notable because so far all the DC series on the CW network have ultimately become part of the DCW TV Universe so we're likely looking at yet another addition.

We'll also have to see how it's handled but I've read speculation from comments the showrunners have made that Routh's Superman appearance in this is actually the Christopher Reeve's incarnation of Superman, essentially making this event episode Superman VI and the Kingdom Come storyline part of the Reeves characters arc.

The upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event boasts a bunch of actors playing past DC hero screen incarnations including multiple Superman actors from current TV incarnation Tyler Hoechlin on “Supergirl” to other men to have worn the cape including Brandon Routh and Tom Welling. Also understandable is that the producing team asked numerous other […]

The showrunners have confirmed that they did ask Nicholas Cage if he wanted to appear in Crisis on Infinite Earths playing his 90's aborted attempt version of Tim Burton's Superman suggesting Cage's schedule quickly killed any chance of that long shot.

That actually looks really great. I’m not into these shows at all but that was a really good moment and it’s nice seeing him back in the role. I know Returns wasn’t a hugely popular film but I loved it and I loved Routh as Superman (and he was about a billion times better than what would come after) so it’s a bit of a treat seeing him as Superman once more.
