Haynes To Direct New "Star Trek" 'Origins' Film - Dark Horizons
We have the long gestating Star Trek XIV in the works and also apparently a Star Trek: Picard movie but now it appears a third movie has also entered development. Toby Haynes - who directed the USS Callister episode of Black Mirror as well as some episodes of Star Wars: Andor - has been hired to helm a spin-off movie currently referred to as Star Trek: Origins
The film is said to take place in the largely undocumented Late 22nd/Early 23rd Century and so precursors events of both Star Trek timelines.
