    Can I buy something to read data off these old HD's?

    Found two of my old laptop hard drives that I kept as they had photos etc on them. Can I buy any kind of cheap lead to get the data off of them? Please see pics below -

    I bought a caddy from Currys for £10 to use an old laptop HDD on my PS4. Works like a treat.

    Just put the drive in and connect via USB to whatever. Bingo.

          [MENTION=9865]Colin[/MENTION]: first one is IDE (PATA) the 2nd is SATA. The adapter [MENTION=8265]CMcK[/MENTION] recommends, looks like it will handle both, though you might need a power source for the PATA drive.

                Mine is also similar, except it came in a box with a PSU and cost about £16 more!
