    Android VMs and emulators

I'm trying my hand with Android VMs, with a VM ware host, but I'm having problems: no matter how much hardware resources I dedicate to the VM I can't get the Play Store to work (as soon as I search for something it crashes) and a lot of apps can't seem to get online, despite Chrome and others being able to.
I've tried with 32 and 64bit images of Android 8.1.
So I've turned myself to PC emulators but I'm kinda lost.

What do BD recommend for Android emulation/virtual machines?

Android Studio has built-in emulators for all versions of Android. That's about as far as I've gotten in the last 10 years.

Answering to myself, I'm very happy with Nox. And today I've discovered that Fire Emblem Heroes isn't compatible with Android VMs, emulated Android, and even rooted phones.
