    PC Engine Extreme

Not sure why you would ever do this when we already have the PC Engine GT but it's pretty cool mod regardless.

    Pay tribute to PC-Engine GT & PC-Engine LThttp://maxxkao.blogspot.com/2018/10/31-pc-engine-extreme.html

Well it will certainly beat a gt in battery life and also screen quality as quite frankly the screen quality on a gt is atrocious, but to be fair though at the time of it's creation lcd technology was nowhere near as advanced as it is today but those tri pixel displays are horrible. Wonder if anyone has managed to do what they did for the gamegear and create a modern lcd replacement for a gt?

The LT could do with a screen upgrade too.

Think a composite LCD mod has been around for a while, but looks like someone has made an RGB version as well now:
iFixRetro showed off what is probably the world's first RGB-LCD modded PC Engine GT (AKA Turbo Express). This finally brings a McWill-like solution to the handheld, and the results are stunning. The mod was done using the hard-to-source LCDDRV, which is only available in Japan at the moment. It pull

hmm that is interesting that someone managed to do it as the gt with a nicer screen would be a great way to play on the go especially if they could get that battery life under control. Finally to realise what the gt was actually meant to be but held back by the technology at the time. I love stuff like this where you can reverse a systems flaws by upgrading it with newer tech unavailable at the time.

I actually think that’s brilliant. As has already been said, the original Gt screen is godawful, and the LT not hugely better. If you absolute need to be playing original HuCards in a handheld this looks like a brilliant bit of modding.

Terrible game to demo on it though He was mashing the crap out of it! It does look nice and tidy though.
