Warner Bros. Pictures has announced a November 12th 2021 release date for the third film in the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise. Production on the new film is expected to begin in Spring 2020. The release will come three years after the first sequel arrived in cinemas – the new date extends the gap between the films […]

The second film was messy and poorly paced compared to the first, and really pandering (dont read on if your worried about spoilers) but it really dose feel like there trying to back peddle and add in more diversity to the original books. No longer are they dominated by straight white protagonists Dumbledore is gay and apparently him and Grindlewald are lovers. You know that snake nagini she used to be a woman from Brazil. I'm wondering what the next films will bring, Mc'gonagall was in this as a 20 something magical teacher despite her being -8 according to the original cannon, this will be explained away by her new age being reset to the day she became female maybe in the next film we will find out shes transgender and was originally a man. they could fit this in with the transfiguration job and have a whole sub plot about wizard sex changed.

I prefer the fantastic beasts movies over HP

See it as more adult orientated - but also love the creatures and Scamander

Decided I'm gonna eschew my usual hyper-critical knee-jerk here and instead, just gonna bail out. Hope it's good, for the people who loved the previous ones though.

Worht highlighting that a few weeks ago, in retaliation to Rowling's Trans related posts, a leaker posted a scene by scene breakdown of the film online. The trailer seems to confirm that the leak is genuine so those wanting to avoid spoilers etc will need to be aware everything is already out there.

Spooky magical bad guy does magical bad things. Bumbling good guy and his band of funny animals stumble on the bad guys plan.
High jinks and bull**** CGI happens. Bad guy loses... Or does he??

                          Is that the plot?

Largely yep, it's very much the definition of a wheel spinning entry in the franchise. Pretty much ends things having not moved on at all
