Your favourite YouTube video game channels?

Not really talking about the usual IGN and the like, the smaller guys.

Just started watching Happy Console Gamer as of last week. This guy is so cool.

The Jimquisition is cool also. https://www.youtube.com/user/JimSterling

    What you always tune into?

Jimmy Hapa (aka import gaming FTW) he knows a lot about the ganbare Goemon game series which puts him way ahead of the competition plus he covers some of the lesser known stuff. He has a crazy amount of knowledge about the valkyrie no densetsu series of games.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere I’m a fan of Kim Justice and Ahoy. The Game Chasers is a guilty pleasure too

Videogamedunkey is brilliant also. He’s genuinely hilarious and I like the unique vibe of his videos.

        Those Video Game Moments:

Regular, well edited and funny video game clips every week. I laugh every time.

        Shesez:

Guy runs a series called Boundary Break, where he goes through old and sometimes new games, with a free camera and shows you what happens behind the scenes. Stuff you're not supposed to see, like enemy spawn in locations. Has a huge catalog of games he has covered. Very fascinating!

I also like Jim Sterling for keeping it real.

Adam Koralick, travels a lot does a lot of videos of various games shops around the world plus a lot of Dreamcast stuff https://www.youtube.com/user/AdamKoralik

Maximillian dood, Lot of fighting game stuff though he does not do as much of the videos like tutorials its more geared to gameplay vids and the odd opinion videos https://www.youtube.com/user/Miles923

Core-A-Gaming. Another one who does fighting game stuff but his videos are very well done and tend to concentrate on analysis such as the affect of reducing skill gaps https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT7...Oy3n-SvXemDHvg.

Pretty good gaming and Special moves I lumped both these channels together as they started off as pretty good gaming but 3 of the guys got let go and started the channel special moves and they both do lots of gaming news items and podcasts https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCod...m_hWSDDfLr4QzA and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFA...EbmxBbdAvpK3fw

RGT 85 mostly news and retro games https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA5...a8tIX_AqTTmWdw

GGGmanlives reviews of games with a heavy emphasis on FPS games both new and retro https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKl...9MDlL45Ia6j5EA

Gameumentary and No clip who do very well produced documentaries on games or games companies https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJS...8JBnyPpV47gLSg and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0f...cMtbOqPMymDNbw

              Of course Retrocore https://www.youtube.com/user/Yakumo1975

Simply austin who covers emulators https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCb4...ztOW77onViqoDA

Others Mentioned here Like Kim Justice and LGR i follow as well. There are quite a few youtubers i follow still but to be honest some of them the quality of the content seems to have taken a major downgrade, or it feels like they are being controversial for the sake of it and also some of the Click bait headlines they use is really starting to bug me

Kim Justin and Ahoy have already been mentioned but totally worth watching for in depth deep dives into games.

I like Happy Console Gamer ... it just feels like he's never lost his passion, ever. Probably the only Videogame channel I ever watch on YouTube ... oh, along with the odd Classic Game Room visit

I quite like the Didyouknowgaming channel, it offers a lot of insight into games I thought I knew a lot about, but didn’t.

Whenever I hear about a game that I know nothing about, but want to get a quick gist of, I tend to look for reviews from places like IGN and stuff... not because their word is gospel, but I usually just want to know a quick run down, and their reviews tend to be short and concise.

Although I do enjoy Yakamo’s videos he posts up comparing different versions of the same game, they are interesting.

I don't watch many gaming videos to be honest, but Johnny's (Happy Console Gamer) general enthusiasm and up-beat demeanour always cheer me up. I also quite enjoy Retro Man Cave - Neil is a great host and covers subjects in detail whilst still keeping things interesting.

Oh, and Retro Core from time to time of course

Yeah, quite a bit of love for my channel, thanks guys.
As for game channels I watch, well many have been listed here by others and some not.

Game Sack (a massive inuence on my system focused Retro Core shows)

The 8bit guy and his other channel, 8bit keys.

The Nostalgia Nerd (although sometimes his content is a bit too nerdy for me when he talks about British computer mags and stuff. I was always a console gamer you see)

LGR (Sometimes I find him a bit too PC nerdy in the same way as Nostalgia Nerd but I still like his shows, mostly)

Retro Man Cave (another one I sometimes find too nerdy about computers but again great content in many areas. I love the pod casts too)

                            Techmoan (not really about gaming)

My life in Gaming (what I find funny about these guys is that they come off as being very knowledgeable but at times don't know or mistake about common points. Still, very good shows with great production values)

I'll take everything Yakumo has listed with the addition of Retro Core a few other channels too.

Digital Foundry and in particular the DF Retro stuff is great.

                              Gamehut.
A channel from Jon Burton of Travellers Tales showing the tech and trivia from various TT games. Great, albeit nerdy, insights into Megadrive, PS2 and Saturn games and how they pulled off some pretty impressive visual effects.
