Nintendo Switch and 3rd Party Docks I'm confused.

So recently I picked up an unboxed switch - console only. I managed to get a power supply and can play in handheld mode quite happily. However I thought I would get myself a dock. But its not easy. Official docks are in short supply and expensive! So I looked at some third party ones, but internet says these can brick switches. But that was firmware 5.0 and now we are on 6.0 and there are no updates that I can find. So are third party docks safe now?

I wouldn't personally be touching any third-party docks. You're right about the specific firmware issues but for me the trust simply isn't there.

If I were you I would try and source a cheap official one. Flea-Bay?
