    Yeah, the new Task Manager sucks. On the one hand, it’s easier to read. On the other hand, it’s difficult to pinpoint a process compared to the older versions.

      Open PowerShell and type in this:

      ps | % {$_.Path}

      That'll give you the full file path to every running process

        Thanks Brad! That's like magic and gives me exactly what I need. The process seems to have stopped running which is good but I'll use this to identify it if it kicks in again on next startup.

        Windows 10 with my software is a mixed bag, which is a little weird given that 10 has been out so long now and most of my software is bang up to date.

          Give it a while to settle down. I'm not even bothering with 3rd party AV now either - inbuilt one is faster apart from zip files containing many small files
