To be honest nowt much on that list I’d want to spend cash on.

They’re presents though!

I would go for Rondo, Harmful Park and Blazing Star.

That stuff is my kryptonite these days ... even looking at the list reminds me of the crazy years of throwing silly money around. I know it's only a bit of fun but I don't think I'd want any, just for what they represent now.

1 - Panzer Dragoon Saga. A meaty classic RPG with gorgeous art design and music. Top of my list.
2 - Rondo of Blood. It's a good game with fantastic music.
3 - Blazing Star. The wild card because I've never played it and it looks colourful. No idea what it is.

Got a few moaning Myrtles in this thread right out the gate

I'd go for Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun and Castlevania Bloodlines. I'd really like to own genuine copies of all of those. I've never actually played Bloodlines but I've always been very intrigued by it.

I thought you owned PDS Dogg Thang?

I do but it's buried in a box somewhere. This would save me the trouble of digging it out!

I’ve got more than a few of these I recently experienced Sapphire via one of those properly printed bootlegs, it’s very impressive, love the cyber punk holo adverts etc.

I don’t know?

I have two on that list, RSG and Rondo, and did own another two back when I was into the Neo, Viewpoint (AES) and Blazing Star (MVS conversion). Believe it or not I’ve not played any other game in the list bar Sapphire which I played on a burned CD.

So I am choosing games based on reputation:

1. PDS - looks stunning and I do like me a good RPG
2. Alien Soldier - Treasure. ‘Nuff said.
3. Sapphire - okay I have played this one but loved it. A real tour de force, pushing the PCE to its absolute limits.

I own some of them, but I'd definitely have them all in my collection if I could afford to. Although, I've sold a few, so not all of them are really 'must-haves' for me.

I'd ask Santa for:

Magical Chase(A really nice cute 'em up.)
Contra: Hard Corps(A really good Contra game that I should have bought ages ago.)
Sapphire(An impressive PCE CD game that has good music and is fun to play through.)

It's one of the best shooters for the Neo Geo -- full of impressive graphics and fun shooting action.

Send me you're address and I'll pass it on to Santa.

Yeah, it's sad how they all go for crazy money these days. But I'd happily accept 3 of them for free.

It doesn't get much fanfare next to Castlevania IV and Rondo, but it's a really good game.

From the list I’ve previously owned originals of -

Magical Chase - PC ENGINE - 1991
Viewpoint - NEO GEO AES - 1992
Rondo of Blood - PC ENGINE CD - 1993
Contra: Hard Corps - MEGA DRIVE - 1994
Castlevania: Bloodlines - MEGA DRIVE - 1994
Alien Soldier - MEGA DRIVE - 1995
Sapphire - PC ENGINE CD - 1995
Harmful Park - PLAYSTATION - 1997
Blazing Star - NEO GEO AES - 1998
Radiant Silvergun - SATURN - 1998

If I could own any of them again it would Magical Chase, Rondo and Harmful Park. As for not selling them, come on, it’s me!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I love Rondo from a technical point of view, but Akumajo is the far more playable game of the two.

I can play it for free on my Pi, I don't need a physical copy that some scrote on ebay would try to fleece me £400 for in order to enjoy the game.
