Stage and screen actor best known for playing the ferocious sergeant major in the TV comedy series It Ain’t Half Hot Mum

Windsor Davies: It Ain't Half Hot Mum actor dies aged 88.

I know him best as his turn as Sergeant Major Zero in Terrahawks, which was a surprisingly deep character for a robot sphere.

Very distinctive voice. A really memorable star from my childhood, was old Windsor.

To be honest, I thought he had died years ago. I do remember the voice of Sergeant Major Zero in Terrahawks and a few live action roles in which he played.

Sweet jesus, I'd have been good money he died in the 90's. I remember him with ease from seeing him TV as a kid but would never have remotely had him down as still being around

When he grew a ponytail and got an earring he was dead to everyone.

90 is nothing to sniff at mind you. I like Dick Miller in every role I'd seen him in.
