Only one of Pixar’s recent five films, “Coco,” hasn’t been a sequel with the others “Finding Dory, “Cars 3,” “Incredibles 2” and this year’s “Toy Story 4” serving as follow-ups to established franchises. In some welcome news, Pixar is aiming to rebound and plans to be focusing solely on new, original projects – no sequels […]

The new boss of Pixar is to regear the studio so that it focuses on original output only rather than sequels. Somewhat hard to believe Disney and Pixar will walk away from the money involved in ever making The Incredibles 3, Finding Nemo 3 or Toy Story 5 but after this summer we'll see what ideas Pixar has for new projects whilst avoiding stumbles like Ratatouille and The Good Dinosaur

Yep, that will last all of about five minutes. The money is too powerful.

Maybe they'll hand the sequels off to Disney's internal 3D studio.

I dont know how anyone ever signed off on the good dinosaur, while the background and location looked amazing the whole concept of farming cowboy dinosaurs is one of the strangest films I've ever had the misfortune to sit through.

It screams Dreamworks as in bad Dreamworks!
Why are they doing a brotherly road trip of Shrek?

Yep. It kind of looks like a parody of animated movies.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together […]

Watched Toy Story 4 this morning which is better described as Toy Story 3 Part II

It picks up probably a few months after TS3 and has quite a befitting jumping point in terms of justifying its existence. Not quite the tear fest the previous entry was but it maintained the bar for the series and it screams utter love and care for the franchise like hardly anything other post-2010 Pixar movie has. Not sure if it's film of the year from my cinema outings but it's certainly a runner for it. Pure heart.

Yes, absolutely brilliant but I thought it lacked some of the heart from 3. It certainly isn't a tear jerker in the same way. The themes are easily relatable for any adult and is a good roadmap for any kid growing up. A genuine masterpiece.

Can't agree with you on the post-2010 comment --- Inside Out!

I preferred the Toy Story Shorts to Toy Story 3.
