Like the live action adaptations they're pumping out, Disney and Pixar animated movies now have an all encompassing thread. The first update is:

“Hamilton” creator and “Mary Poppins Returns” star Lin-Manuel Miranda is reportedly planning to co-write an animated musical featuring a young Latina heroine reports Page Six. Miranda’s father, Luis, tells the paper: “He is talking to Disney about a sequel to ‘Moana,’ but the movie would be about a Latina princess.” Miranda was a music co-writer […]

    Moana 2

The film is said to involve a latino princess, somehow that will tie in to the original cast if true, presumably reaching a new land.

Well their civilisation becomes sea-faring at the end of the first movie, so in a sequel, they've got to go somewhere.

People already joke that Elsa's parents died in the shipwreck seen at the start of The Little Mermaid, while they were on their way to Rapunzel's wedding. That's the opening of a rabbit hole

I remember all that, the brief shot of Rapunzel in Frozen didn't help

Personally, the Pixar Universe Theory is the one that's gold
Every Pixar movie is connected. This interactive graphic tells the story of how and why.

Has anyone bought all of these on blu ray?

Also, this is the American Classics list, which includes Dinosaur and omits The Wild.

Yeah, the whole Dinosaur/The Wild are odd ones. Both are poor inclusions but Dinosaur makes more sense

Walt Disney Animation’s “Zootopia” raked in over a billion dollars at the global box-office, won a Best Animated Feature Oscar, and was a critical smash – making many top lists. Oddly there hasn’t been much talk of a follow-up, but voice actor Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister recently revealed that Disney is working on two follow-ups. Lister, […]

One of the voice actors for Zootopia has said that Disney are developing a second and third entry

Be interesting to see where that goes. The first one was a great kids' movie, IMO, but also, I feel that it told a pretty compact, character-based story. This one looks a bit more Lord of the Rings and I'm curious as to how that'll work.

The parents from Frozen are the parents from Tarzan.
