    Nickelodeon has announced they will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the bewilderingly endlessly popular SpongeBob Squarepants by releasing specials this year along with a host of spin-off series focused on other characters from the main show. There will also be a new season of the main show and it will all wrap up with the release of the third SpongeBob movie. In other words, it's popular and its creator has now passed away so they're pulling on their gloves, sitting on the small stool and grabbing those milk teets till they turn dry.
