But he does have something to gain - his Jackson Estate lawsuit for £1.2 billion (which was dismissed in January) is currently on appeal, if he can garner sympathy through this interestingly timed documentary he stands to gain a lot of money.

Yeah that’s a lot to gain. Do they make that clear in this series?

Ha ha ha, what do you think?

They also don't interview anyone with something positive to say for balance.

Well does it at least reference that there is ongoing litigation?

I don't believe it references anything that might paint these two guys other than saintly.

Yep, the documentary completely omits the intertwined legal history of the two of them and their current attempts to have their case reassessed by the courts after getting completely lampooned by the judge last time.

Watched a clip of Joe Rogan interviewing Louis Theroux earlier, there was mention of a sensor outside The King of Pop's bedroom that triggered a ding ding doorbell noise within the boudoir.

Joe Rogan is a gateway drug to Alex Jones.

It's like conspiracy theory WWF but you get some interesting nuggets with JR. Alex Jones is like some Marvel villain at the mo, he's well nutty.

Yep, all the sex alarms and secret abuse dens stuff was always a newspaper myth. Raids only found one secret room that did contain porn but unlike what the papers span it as the porn was all normal adult stuff. I think a lot of younger people discovering stuff out about Jackson have found this bit creepy without really acknowledging that owning porn wasn't quite so uncommon pre Pornhub

There's loads more about door sensors, alarms between rooms and one way glass installed throughout Neverland Ranch. As the newspapers reporteded, all of that was obviously installed for the purposes of abusing children because as we all know, large complex multi-millionaire homes that are also commonly visited by non-residents are typically renowned for their low security

I don't even know how Jackson had time for porn. He had a full in home cinema and had new release movies delivered to it before they were publicly released... I'd ruddy live in that one room!

He was the most famous person in the world. He will have had a team of management around him who in turn will have requested that security is sufficiently high at Neverland and they will have ensured that his room is a safe haven for him should he feel in danger. I doubt MJ will have had much to do with it.
Also, with all the children/visitors around he will have wanted a place he could put on and remove his make up (because of his skin condition) and use his drugs without being interrupted.

Gaf isn't the most pleasant place and I don't know how trustworthy the info being posted in there is but it's interesting that they're counterpointing Era's stance on Jackson the entire way. They posted this vid:

Where it's claimed the documentary edited an audio clip of Jackson saying 'The best thing about Hawaii? Being with you' where the unedited actual soundbite says 'The best thing about Hawaii was spending time with Jimmy, love his family and want to spend time with them'

This one's an interesting one too, a section of the court records from the legal case Wade Robson had thrown out against him:

Another interesting point for pondering, though it could simply down to her being vile and keeping info from her son (?), Safechuck says he realised he had been abused in 2013 when he saw Robson on TV but Safechucks mother says she celebrated that Jackson could abuse kids anymore upon his death in 2009 meaning either she's lying or she knew about her sons abuse and withheld the information.

Just watched the first episode and found it an incredibly difficult watch. I've no doubt that he's guilty, but I've suspected that since he first started paying off people and the Bashir interview and the reactions from the two men haven't changed that opinion. In my mind if you're innocent you prove it in court, not pay people off like he's constantly done.

It doesn't change the fact that he's made amazing music and I'm not going to chuck out my Bad album any time soon.

As far as I know he only paid off the civil case in 1993, upon which the accuser dropped the criminal case against him. Don't think he paid anyone else.

Yup, the case settlement history is a difficult one. The vast majority of what was ever paid out was to Chandler which was only to shut down the civil case so that the criminal case could move forward as it was having a bad impact on Jacksons health. Even then he later said it was a regret and a decision driven largely by his lawyers as protecting the brand name and Jacksons health was the main focus back then. Chandler would later say he lied about the accusations and was drugged and set up to accuse Jackson by his parents to extort money so big questions hang around both sides on that one. I think there's another much smaller one that hit around a similar time with a Neverland Ranch staffers kid but potentially it would fall under the same reasoning as the timing was due to the Chandler case and both refused to testify even though they remained free to do so.
