Or even as far back as the 80s. Using glamour models to promote games is really tacky. I prefer proper artwork that inspires you.

Chase HQ on the Spactrum really impressed me back in the day. But the arcade game was a coin-eater, the gist got got on the first few plays.

It was never a game I could be arsed to complete. It was always too Afterburner-y at 20p a pop. My pocket money was like 50p-£1 in those days, I got more from 5p one-armed-bandit machines.

I think a game called 'Speed King' or summat excited me with its smoothness as a child. But I remember it being very old, like 1983 or summat. I got my C64 Xmas '87.

Was it this game from 1985? I remember thinking it was really impressive back in the day.

I don't think I ever personally played it but I recall magazine reviews back in the day trashing it.

Horrible. It's like a rubbish version of the original Test Drive games but with a 'catch the criminal' theme. A game I had tried to forget about.

Nah, it wasn't that (though I remember that game). It was this:

Also, Talladega used to impress me. Not sure why:

I thought it might be that, but it looks pretty bad.

The best racers for the C64 are Pitstop 2, Super Cycle, and Buggy Boy. Still fun to play today.

I'll give that a miss then. I have, however, ordered Night Striker.

Did Outrun Europa miss out because it didn't get an arcade version?

                              It's all about arcade games.

Is any version of OutRun Europa good? I remember it having a bad rep back in the day, but haven't played it on every format.
