Purchasing Nintendo DLC

Hi

I don't usually buy DLC but I've been playing mario kart 8 on Wii U and I'm really enjoying it so I'd like to get the extra tracks.

I've gone to the download page and it looks like I need a E card. The price for the DLC is £11 the cards are £15 ? Is there a way to just pay the £11 with a credit card or paypal?

You did used to be able to. I think Nintendo have recently removed the pay buy CC option for 3DS and Wii U.

Yup - eShop cards will be needed for Wii U & 3DS eShop transactions from here on out.

NoE made the change to fall in line with recent EU regulations passed on electronic transactions.

All the extra content is incredibly good, so even at £15 it's money well spent. Really adds so much to the game. Although, it is stupid that you have to spend £15 to be able to buy an £11 item.

Yeah, that’s dumb, but it’s deffo worth the £15. It’s a ton of new content.
